This division is designated to bring the biotechnology revolutions at the door step of the Indians.
The division started with marketing a hi-tech brand of Enokaparin with brand name Marparin. That is followed by anti cancer drugs like Gemcitabine (Gemcel), Interferon (Mark-Feron) and Paclitaxel (Paclimark).
With the advent of Epidermal Growth Factor (EGF), Interleukin II (IL-2), G-CSF, Erythropoetin (EPO) etc. Marksans is poised to become a leading player in Critical Care treatment, mainly addressing the needs of cancer patients.
The Company also has plans to acquire Biotechnology know-how and start manufacturing Human Recombinant Drugs in India and become a major player in Biotechnology by 2010.
